For easy clean-up!
2 Cups white sugar
1 ¾ Cups all-purpose flour
¾ Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 Cup milk
½ Cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Cup boiling water
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans.
Blend the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl.
Add the milk, oil, eggs and vanilla.
Mix for about 2 minute.
Add the water. Batter will be thin.
Pour evenly into the prepared cake pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes, until the cake tests done with a toothpick.
Cool in the pans for 10 minutes.
Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
